BROADWATER VILLA 13 FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

 How long will it take to drive there from Perth?

Approximately 2.5 Hours. Busselton is 258km south of Perth. The drive is a straight run south along Mitchell Freeway, along the South West Highway (Route 1) through Mandurah, past Bunbury and then the Bussell Highway (Route 10) once reaching Busselton. The Broadwater Beach Executive Villas are located at the corner of Bussell Highway and Holgate Road Broadwater.

How far is the villa from the beach and Busselton town centre?

The Resort is just 6 kilometres from the centre of town and located on Geographe Bay with direct beach access.

Where do I pick the key up from?

On arrival the keys can be collected from the resort reception at Grand Mercure Busselton Apartments 553 Bussell Highway Busselton. A location map indicating the reception location is included in the booking information. The Grand Mercure reception operates between 7.00am and 8.00pm. On departure please return the keys to reception. Unfortunately it is not possible to collect or drop off keys after reception has closed.

Is the villa available for the dates I require?

A telephone call or email is the best method of checking availability. Alternatively, please complete and fax our booking application form, filling in all required information fields and we will reply confirming availability and tariff rate.

How do I make a booking?

If the property is available, a booking application form and rental terms and conditions will be sent to you to complete and return either with deposit or full payment.  The booking is not confirmed until a deposit is received.   A tentative booking may be held for you for a maximum of 7 days upon request.

How do I pay for my accommodation?

Payment can be made by cash, cheque or money order. Full payment is required if the commencement date of your booking is six weeks or less away.  If making your booking more than 6 weeks in advance, a deposit is required to confirm, with the full balance due and payable 6 weeks prior to your holiday. Deposits for general bookings are $200, while peak time deposits are $400.

Is linen included?

Yes linen is included in the tariff. However, you will need to bring your own beach towels.

What are the arrival and departure times?

To allow sufficient time for the villa to be cleaned between changeover of bookings the arrival time is from 2pm.  You will need to vacate the villa at 10am on the departure date. A late check-out may be possible, subject to availability, upon request.

Is cleaning included?

Professional cleaning of the property is included in your tariff and is undertaken after check-out. However you must leave the villa in a clean and tidy condition with dishes washed and put away, sand swept up from floors, tables and kitchen benches wiped down, BBQ cleaned (if used), and the house of general neat appearance.  An additional charge will apply if excess cleaning is required.


What is the minimum stay?

A 3 night minimum stay is usually required throughout the year, not including periods listed below:

Is a bond required?

A bond payment may be required, however if not requested you are not released from responsibility for any breakages or damages caused during the length of your stay.

What if I wish to cancel my booking?

Once your booking has been confirmed and a receipt issued, your deposit is non refundable under all circumstances.  If the booking is cancelled in writing more than 6 weeks prior to the commencement date of your arrival, you will be released from the liability of full payment.  Once full payment of the tariff is receipted and confirmation details sent, the Property is reserved for the Guest for the specified dates whether or not occupation of the Property occurs unless the property can be re-let by the owner for the booking period.


Are pets allowed?

No pets are allowed within the resort grounds or the Villa.

Are telephone facilities available?

A telephone is provided for local calls only.


What is your best price – can I get a discount?

The best price is displayed on the website.   Tariff rates are fixed and not negotiable.  The tariff rate has carefully been determined by comparisons with other holiday homes of similar location and quality features, and competitively priced in order that a level uniform standard of accommodation can be maintained for each guest booking. Specials may be available from time to time.

We are planning to celebrate a special occasion, is this OK?

No. This villa is purely for holiday accommodation. Whilst it is OK for occasional visitors to drop by for a few hours during the course of your stay, it is not acceptable to use the villa for the purposes of holding a party of any description or for the villa to be used as a reception venue. The rights of other guests to enjoy their peace and privacy is to be respected, and all music is to be turned off or down by 10pm. No more people than the number confirmed on your Booking Form should be accommodated at any one time, and if complaints are lodged by outside parties regarding excessive noise or unruly behaviour, your booking will be immediately cancelled and further occupation of the property refused. No portion of unused accommodation stay will be refunded.

Can we set up a tent or park a friend's campervan?

No - sufficient beds are provided for the number of people booked to stay in the villa. No camping arrangements are permitted in the resort grounds.


Do you accept school leaver bookings?

No. The villa is unavailable at this time as maintenance is undertaken during this period.
